.
A News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent, who went around the city, reports that a combined team of security agencies was observed manning strategic places expected to be visited by the president.
Stern-looking security men were also sighted on roads leading to the Ibadan Airport where the president and his campaign team would be received on arrival.
Officers of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) also manned major roads to ensure free flow of traffic.
At the Monatan palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana, some security men, including military personnel, were sighted keeping vigil.
NAN further reports that the security was tight at the Mapo Hall, venue of the campaign, as armed security operatives were seen on duty.

“We are working with other security agencies in the state to guarantee a smooth campaign and in fact, more of our officers have been placed on special duty.
“Over the weekend, our Intelligence Officers combed major areas in Ibadan all in a bid to prevent security lapses.
“In addition, we have involved other divisions of the command that are closer to us in Ibadan to ensure that the campaign is without any security breach,” he said.
Although attempts to reach the Commissioner of Police in the state, Kola Shodipo, did not succeed, scores of police officers were sighted on duty.
